Hi, I’m Kristen (but I write under my initials, K.M. Chandler). A Texas girl at heart, I grew up in Midland before making the move to Houston my freshman year of high school. I am a graduate of Mays Business School at Texas A&M University in College Station, where I studied Marketing with a minor in Creative Writing. I have been writing stories since I first picked up a pen as a child. The first few pages (in their earliest draft) of my first book, The Key, were written on wide-ruled notebook paper in my bedroom when I was ten years old. While the quality of writing has changed greatly since then, the heart of the story has not. My greatest passion when it comes to writing is YA fiction, and I love creating new worlds to which readers can escape. I currently live in Nashville, TN with my husband, Ryann, and our two cats, Kess and Elanor. In addition to writing, the things I love include reading, cooking/baking, traveling, music, photography, skincare, and yoga.
